Getting started
How IFAPP works
IFAPP brings vehicles, tools, materials and workers onto one map. The system has three parts:
- Bluetooth tags on tools and with workers. They send a signal every few seconds and run on a battery for years.
- GPS trackers in vehicles, on sites and on large machines. They report position and driving – and detect every tag around them.
- The IFAPP platform (web.ifapp.eu), which turns the signals into a live map, timesheets, a driving log, alerts and reports.
What is recorded
| What | How |
|---|---|
| Where the van is and how it is driven | The GPS tracker in the van |
| Who is on site and when | The worker's tag is detected by the tracker on site or in the van |
| Where a tool is and who had it last | The tool's tag is detected by the nearest tracker |
| Trips for the driving log | Start, end, addresses and kilometres from the GPS tracker |
What workers have to do
Nothing. They carry their tag in a badge holder or on a key ring. There is no app to open and nothing to scan. Managers and field staff who want the map, vehicles and tools on their phone can use the IFAPP app.
